Principles of a safer space

A festival that develops the field of classical music towards fresher and more sustainable practices
At the heart of Kamarikesä beats a strong desire to innovate and develop the classical music field towards fresher and more sustainable practices. As part of its development, the festival has created its own principles for a safer space, within which it hopes every concertgoer, artist, and staff member will feel even more warmly welcomed to Helsinki's freshest chamber music event and the world of classical music.
At Kamarikesä, we are committed to uphold the following principles.
-
1. We strive towards fresh and encouraging behavior.
We respect others in our speech and actions, and engage with each other positively and appreciatively. We do not tolerate inappropriate behavior, harassment, or discrimination in any form.
-
2. We respect each others boundaries.
Everyone has a right to their own boundaries and can express them. Everyone is free to be themselves. We provide our artists' a peaceful working environment and enable fellow audience members to have a peaceful listening experience.
-
3. We intervene and address.
We investigate and address all reported situations contravening with these principles. Our mission is to allow Kamarikesä to continuously develop towards an increasingly healthy and innovative direction. We welcome feedback warmly.
Feedback?
The principles of a safer space have been created by the Chamber Music Summer team. We are developing them by listening to feedback from performers and audience members. You can provide feedback on the safer space principles to the harassment contact person or anonymously via this form.
